Florida's Golden Palette's Philanthropic Projects
Big Cat Rescue Center provides the best permanent home they can
for a very limited number of abused, abandoned and retired big cats.
Hopefully through education and examples set by the center,
the number of cats that suffer the fate of abandonment
and abuse can be decreased.   Big Cat Rescue

Our Big Cat Project
In Tampa, we met with Carol Baskin, the founder of "Big Cat Rescue",
a non profit, educational sanctuary devoted to providing a home for
abused or abandoned exotic cats. Every item she was wearing was of a
different "exotic cat" design. What a hoot.
When asked if "Big Cat Rescue" could use the talents of
Florida's Golden Palette, she suggested that The Education Center
was in dire need of a "make-over" before the children met there
for summer classes. It was obvious what needed to be done...
we painted the entire exterior of the Education Center in a leopard skin design.
It was so much fun, and a great opportunity for our members
to get to know each other while also helping our community.
